The body is weak. But you cannot do this without placing your finger tip directly over the built in camera. It is "hard", has no "feel" to it and is stiff.
In order to open the top you must stick your fingers under the lip - somewhere - and pull up. How a design could require you to smudge your finger over the camera every single time just to open the laptop.While the Good is good, the Bad is bad. So as to not pull from one side or another you must lift the top from the center.
Good: Great monitor, good speed and generally great functioning.Bad: Keyboard is HORRIBLE. The top is weak. I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED THIS ITEM.
The battery is in fact weak and if you have any chance to get a extra-life battery get one. It is not so much the plastic as it the construction.
However, still can be used as a portable computer. Only drawback is they are on the bulky side when compared to other laptops. Bought new Sony VAIO for my wife to replace her existing Sony VAIO which we had for over 5 years. Great laptop for music, photos and general web browsing and other home tasks.
